Default Best drinking practice - confirmation needed

I have researched the heck out of this and want to confirm that I a reading this right.

Additionally, I found a little timer that will make my computer "ding" every 3 minutes so that I can drink again.

I should either, drink one level-5 or five level-1 alcohol's to get to level 5 drunk.

Then ----

Every 3 minutes I should one level 5 or three level 1 alcohol's to stay drunk.

I am assuming that "old-wiki" is up to date with the alcohol update from when the Zashien chest was introduced.

If I am messed up on this correct me please. The last thing I want to do is waste booze cause that is alcohol abuse.

Yes, getting to level 5, waiting 3 minutes then drinking either 3 level 1 drinks or 1 level 5 drink is correct. I would also suggest you take a look at the drinking guide on zoning http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...php?t=10108169 for a much, much faster way of getting your title.

Good luck

I've been doing it that way with one exception. Drink 1 5min then waiting only 2 minutes then drinking 2 1 minutes every 2 minutes. I usually drink whilst playing. And always lose a second or two stopping what I'm doing to drink then restart timer. After several times of doing this I have to resync the timer to the actual drinking. With 2 minute drinking interval I have a 1 min cushion. But waiting 3 minutes will work too.

I am going to drink while vanquishing. I have read the binge drinking guide, but was under the impression that it doesn't work as well with the recent updates.

EmptySkull - good idea

As 5 is max, surely drinking a potency 5 drink whilst at any stage of drunkenness is suboptimal? You're wasting 2 minutes.

I had a repeating timer on my G15 set for 2 minutes. Spiked Nog to start, then two single minute drinks every "ding!". The time cushion seemed to help.

Spiked Eggnog/Firewater normally costs around the same as 3 level 1 alcohols, and is whole lot more convenient (so you don't have to worry so much about the egg timer).

I think the most efficient way to do it is to use a spiked/firewater to get you right to level 5 then use the singles to get you from 3 to 5. As noted above the spiked is only sold as 3 points though so you are really not wasting money by using them.
It is a very slow and expensive process to do it without the zone trick but who is in a hurry right

I've been using the program offered here. Very helpful while vanquishing.

As far as the zoning trick goes, it seems to still be working for the people posting in that thread.
